With research spanning 14 countries and guests from across the globe, we wanted to present a positive perspective on the assets of diversity for the conclusion of the DIVERCITIES research project. I commissioned a short video featuring interviews with key researchers, documentation of the conference and field trips to provide a strong sense of the positive results of the research. I devised questions and interviewed. Watch the video.
In an effort to showcase the work of local initiatives from the Rotterdam case study area, a Diversity Mini-Festival was organised to end the first full day of presentations. Featuring music performance, an art exhibition, a fashion show and a spoken word performance, the festival aimed to provide an all-inclusive relaxed environment for people to get to know each other. We also had a local artist on hand to draw anyone who wanted their portrait.
I oversaw the coordination of marketing material for the conference including electronic way-finding signs, banners, program, slide shows and a series of posters representing each case study.
